Scott Vincent, Global Managing Partner at Parker Fitzgerald, said:
“Alastair is a global expert on technological change and cyber security and is the ideal person to drive our Digital Risk offering. Digital Risk presents one of the biggest challenges to the whole financial services industry, particularly banks. It is vital that businesses establish new risk functions now to ensure they are not to be left behind as technology continues to evolve.
“Alastair’s appointment is a reflection of the first class team we are building at Parker Fitzgerald. His expertise enhances our development through the next phase of growth, as we continue to strengthen our presence in existing markets and explore new ones.”
Dr Alastair MacWillson, Senior Advisor to the Group Advisory Board at Parker Fitzgerald, said:
“The speed at which technology is adopted by consumers is changing how banks work, moving from a physical to an electronic distribution model. A tipping point has now been reached where risk frameworks are no longer capable of meeting operational or regulatory expectations in a digital banking world. People are rightly concerned, as they are being exposed to increasing amounts of Digital Risk by adopting technology they don’t necessarily understand.
“As the pioneers in Digital Risk, Parker Fitzgerald is ideally placed to help clients fully understand and integrate cutting-edge technology, transforming the necessity to change from a burden into an advantage.”
Andrew Moss, Chairman of the Group Advisory Board at Parker Fitzgerald, added:
“Alastair’s appointment to the Advisory Board highlights Parker Fitzgerald’s commitment to bringing on board the highest calibre talent to support its ambitious growth plans. We are dedicated to providing clients with market-leading knowledge and support as they negotiate an increasingly complicated digital, technological and regulatory landscape.”
