Desre is a Partner at Parker Fitzgerald, where she manages the transformation practice and relationships with PFG’s core clients, leading large complex programmes in a career spanning over two decades in financial services. This includes a long tenure at UBS where she held a variety of senior management and leadership roles.  She regularly engages directly with senior management, Board and Executive Committees and the UK regulatory authorities on key issues relating to the delivery of Risk initiatives on behalf of her clients and PFG.

Her core strengths include the leadership and management of business and IT transformation. Specifically this expertise covers the design planning and mobilisation of global risk, finance or IT programmes and their associated 2nd and 3rd line assurance and audit activities.

She has successfully delivered a range of major risk & regulatory programmes, most recently including  BCBS239 compliance at a systemically important UK Bank and Implementation of a new Operational Risk Framework at a major Swiss bank in response to a significant unauthorised trading incident. She has also managed a portfolio of change programmes including IFRS9, US Stress Testing requirements (CCAR), European Benchmark Regulation and Ops Risk/Compliance remediation. Prior to these, Desre’s experience included large technical implementation as well as BAU technical roles, and pushing re-engineering in post trade services.

Desre holds a BSc in Psychology and Information Systems from the University of South Africa and an MBA from the Open University.
